This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on nolira.my and in the Nolira Book customer booking flow.
Draft pending legal review. This document is a working draft written to describe how Nolira intends to operate. It has not yet been reviewed by a qualified lawyer in Malaysia and should not be relied on as a binding agreement until it has.
1. What we use today
This marketing website currently sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We do not run advertising pixels, social media trackers or cross-site profiling.
When we add website analytics, this page will be updated before the change goes live, and a consent banner will appear where consent is required.
2. Categories
Strictly necessary
Required for the service to function and cannot be switched off. In the booking flow these keep your selections through the steps, hold a slot while you complete a deposit, and protect against automated abuse. Signed-in areas of the product use a session cookie to keep you authenticated.
Functional
Remember preferences such as your chosen language or branch, so you do not reselect them on every visit. Turning these off does not break the service but makes it repetitive.
Analytics
Aggregated, pseudonymous measurement of which pages are used and where booking flows are abandoned. We configure analytics to exclude client names, contact details and free-text notes. Where consent is required, analytics only run after you give it.
Advertising
Not used. If this changes, it will be disclosed here and gated behind explicit consent.
3. Third parties
Where a payment provider handles a deposit, that provider may set its own cookies on its hosted payment page for fraud prevention and session management. Those cookies are governed by the provider's own policy, and we will name the provider in this section once it is selected.
4. Controlling cookies
- Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent booking and sign-in from working.
- Where a consent banner is shown, you can change your choice at any time from the link in the website footer.
- Browser "do not track" and global privacy control signals are respected where the browser sends them.
5. Salon client data
Cookies used in the booking flow are separate from the client records held inside a salon's Nolira account. How that data is handled is described in our privacy policy and PDPA notice.
