Do I need to buy hardware?

No. Nolira Desk runs on the Windows PC you already have at the front desk. Receipt printers and barcode scanners work through standard Windows printing and keyboard-wedge input. We publish a tested compatibility list, and every hardware feature has a manual fallback.

How long does onboarding take?

Under two working days per outlet once your data is ready: staff, services, prices, customers and package balances. The slow part is almost always assembling that data, so we send templates early and help you clean them.

Question 3

What happens to my existing package balances?

Accepted Answer

They are migrated as opening ledger entries. We import into a staging environment first, produce a validation report showing duplicates and errors, and you sign off on a sample before cutover. Opening package liability and stock counts are reconciled with you before go-live.

Can I try it before committing?

Accepted Answer

We run paid pilots with a small number of chains rather than a self-serve free trial, because migration and formula mapping need real support to go well. Email us and we will tell you honestly whether your setup is a good fit right now.

Does it really keep working without internet?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within defined limits. Bookings, walk-ins, service completion, normal checkout, receipt printing and package redemption against the last synced balance all continue offline. Large refunds, package transfers, permission changes and commission finalisation stay online-only by design. Those are the operations where a stale local copy could cause real damage.

Can staff on mobile see everything?

No, and that is deliberate. The mobile apps are role-aware companions. A stylist sees their own schedule, client notes they are permitted to read, and their own commission estimate. Managers see approvals and team views. Owners see cross-branch KPIs. Permissions are enforced on the server, not by hiding buttons.

How are commission formulas handled?

Rules are configuration, not code. Percentage or fixed, by service, product, package sale or redemption, varying by branch and staff role, with assistant splits and refund clawback. Every commission event stores the rule version used plus a readable calculation, so a statement can be reproduced months later.

What if two branches use the same customer package?

Accepted Answer

The package template defines which branches are eligible. The ledger records which branch sold it and which redeemed it, so owners get a settlement view. Offline redemption carries additional risk limits, because a locally cached balance may be stale.

Is my customer data safe and private?

Accepted Answer

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per organisation, and access is controlled by role and scope with an audit trail. Consultation notes and before-and-after photos are treated as sensitive: they carry consent records, are never reused for marketing by default, and are excluded from analytics. We are not a medical records system and do not store diagnoses.

Who can see before-and-after photos?

Only staff whose role grants media access, and every view is logged. Photos are stored as a service record rather than marketing material. Using them publicly requires a separate marketing consent from the customer.

Can I export or delete my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export your operational data, and customers can request deletion. Some records are retained where financial, tax or fraud obligations require it. We tell you exactly which, rather than deleting silently or keeping everything.

How is it priced?

One price: RM399 a month, which covers three branches. Each branch after that is RM99 a month. Pay for a year at RM3,999 and two months are free. There is no per-user charge, so hiring never increases your bill, and there is no cheaper plan that removes packages or commission, because those are the reason to use Nolira at all.

What is not in the price?

Two things. WhatsApp and SMS credits, because the network meters those and we pass the cost through. And onboarding with data migration, because that is hours of real work and it is quoted after we have seen your data. Everything else is included.

Question 14

What happens when I open another branch?

Accepted Answer

Add it for RM99 a month, or RM990 a year. Nothing else changes: the same features, the same unlimited staff accounts. Your cost per branch falls as you grow, which is the opposite of how per-outlet pricing usually works.

Question 15

Can I change how I pay later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Adding branches takes effect immediately and is prorated. Removing them takes effect at the start of your next billing period so you are never cut off mid-month. Switching between monthly and yearly is a conversation, not a penalty.
